Hi There!

Jamie Ray Design Studio is a full service interior design studio located in San Francisco, California. Jamie brings 20+ years of experience in the design industry, has worked for some of the top, award-winning architectural firms in the country- predominately in the Bay Area, and has created high profile and published projects for clients in the U.S. and internationally. She graduated from a FIDER-accredited interior design program from the School of Architecture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and because of Jamie’s extensive professional experience in both the design & furniture industry, she is well versed in creating and furnishing interiors.

Jamie is originally from the South, and brings that hospitality to her work with a refreshing, personable approach, listening intently with a sincere desire to create designs that delight. Her philosophy is that design is not about unnecessary ego or sterile environments, but rather effective problem-solving that marries beauty with functionality, and offers a warmth, invisible ease & frictionless environment tailored specifically to you. The spaces we reside, work and play affect people profoundly and have the power to inspire & energize!

From juxtaposing calming, tone-on-tone neutrals with rich, sumptuous textures for a relaxed classic aesthetic, to whimsical details paired with vintage for the mid-century modernist, Jamie can transform and elevate your space, that is perfectly suited to your lifestyle & personality, or company brand, making it an absolute joy to walk through the front door.

A little about me personally…

First off, my nickname is J-Ray (hence the domain name), and besides my passion for design, I adore traveling when I can, have a compulsion for accessories (one can never have too many hats or candles), and to decompress, you’ll find me hitting the gym, baking, reading, quoting indie movies, or out for a long walk in nature!

You are a product of your environment. So choose the environment that will best develop you toward your objective. Analyze your life in terms of its environment. Are the things around you helping you toward success - or are they holding you back?
